here i am, sitting down writing down my rants. it's a usual sunny day, cold air con in the office, too lazy to work, too lazy to look at other things.
i'm free in cyber world, though expressing your opinions in cyber world is not as it used to be. back then, despite the language barriers and all, people really respect each other, even in cyber world. nowadays, it's like a buffet. you get rants (like mine), whines, feedbacks (positive ones), critics (both positive n negative) and even bullies. what the hell happened world? yes, people are more exposed to technology, but since we become too afraid to express ourselves in real world, we express it here? and moreover, not something encouraging, but degrading to a point of creating baseless rumours (i think?) or actually taken to a next level: "meet ups in real life - disappointing" and back to your desks/chairs/beds, finding the next person to be 'together' with.
i'm glad my online friends are like me: pervert. but we do have our own boundaries, but we try our best to respect each other and to appreciate the companies, since of course, being online friends might mean we live far apart from another. why i say i'm a pervert? considering i've been in love with 2D guys (hooott!!!!) and imagining 3D guys get together in a movie instead of pairing them up with the heroine. plus i dont mind reading other perverted genres (nothing horror here. dont think my heart can handle it)
anyways, random rant continues. i like looking at 9gag. but sometimes reading the comments made me think "which comment has serious tone, and which has an 'i dont give a fuck. it's my freedom of speech' attitude, or a sarcastic remark?" cause some of them really like throwing out the word "fuck you!" so easily. i thought that word meant a lotta harm. guess it isn nowadays, which is scary.
speaking of comments. my country, indonesia (beloved country for publishing comics in 1/10 of international price, oh wait, it's around 1/5 now. -_-) has some extremely opinionated people too. it scares me to think that when they comment, they like to bring somewhat intelligent remarks, but also, sensitive issues such as religion and race. it's the 2 things that's been setting us back since ages ago. being a chinese descendant, i cant speak either mandarin, cantonese, or any other chinese dialects out there, but it doesn't really bother me. although i see that a lot of people has some resentment towards us, despite us telling them that we, too are indonesian, since we're born here. when May 1998 happened, it was the one of the most tragic, crazy incident ever happened here.
religion wise, it's quite obvious. i'm christian, but i can say i'm not really that devoted to church. i do go every sunday, but i know religion equality is there, despite our reverend said that there's still a lot of souls need to be.. uhm.. what's the word in english.. saved (or something around that context). some people take their love for 'religion' to an extent where i think they delude themselves to thinking that their religion told them to condemn other religions and races, and that if we dont abide by their religion's laws, we shall be made to be perished (or something like that). THAT IS SCARY! cause i have plenty of friends from other religion, and NONE of them said it's allowed. the extremists think they are allowed to do anything, it's cause the police thinks it's necessary for them to be around (or else, they'll be forced to disband since ages ago)
enough rant for today. it ends weirdly, but i think i strayed a bit far from what i originally plan to write, and now i dont remember what i actually want to write. :p
