The thought had not crossed my mind, sir. But thank you for your time.
I wanted to ask about the last draft, at the underwater research facility. We had not heard anything of what happened. It seems prudent to ask now, with water having come into the barrier from the east and no reports of it receding.
Aha, yes! Fortunately, the Research Station was mostly saved. After we evacuated the last of your fellows, the Third Party was left with full reign over the place. What they didn't expect is that we would flood our own base with them inside! Ho ho, I'm certain their general didn't care much for that!
Unfortunately this also meant that, while there were no tsunamis to worry about, we could no longer hold back the ocean from the enclosure with the Research Station disabled. However, a little clever Shifting by myself, I was able to alter the landscape of the desert to be more, aha, accommodating for so much water!
It may be years before the research station is back to being at full operation, but there hardly seems much point in keeping Luceti ocean free at this point. I understand it's quite popular, in fact!
[It seems a bit odd to say the research facility was "mostly saved" and then say it may be years before it is fully operational again. ...But, considering how long Bil has been around, Albert figures this is a matter of differences of time perception. And term definition.]
I'm sure we will be able to measure the ocean's popularity once there is warmer weather. [That's wryly stated.] Concerning the Third Party -- how did they manage to invade the facility in the first place? Do they have teleportation capabilities we were not aware of? Did they perish or escape when you flooded the facility?
[He might initially be seen as he's walking towards the back of the house, but he'll be pretty hidden from the road once he's back there. It might even seem like he's ... hiding?]
[Fortunately (for Albert), his reasons for being out there are perfectly innocent. He lets his elf owl out of his pocket, casting him out towards the forest so he can attempt to hunt again.
[Caesar's on his way back to the house, walking along the road with Kogoro at his side. Or, at least, he was doing that until Kogoro ran off on him again.
It's only the first time he's run off today, and even though this is something he'll never get used to, he decides he should probably go after him. With a sigh, Caesar lazily follows the trail of little paw prints in the snow to the back of the house. Hopefully the dog hadn't gone too far.]
[Albert has been working in the back for awhile when he hears the sounds of crunching snow off in the distance. He stands up from where he had been crouching by a mound of shaped snow, frowning as he recognizes the black and white dog hopping to make progress through a pile of deeper snow.
...He's been seeing far too much of this dog lately.]
[Caesar keeps his eyes on the little tracks in the snow as he walks, so it takes him a moment to notice that someone's back here. When he does notice, he stops to look up, and he blinks at Albert, slightly confused. Or very confused.]
[He sighs to himself. Well, this wasn't something he had expected to have to deal with; Caesar should be sleeping in this weather, shouldn't he?] No. What would give you that idea?

[Homura has been spending his time as he normally does: observing people, both in person and over the journals. There are certain faces that interest him more than others at this point, people that play pivitol roles in Luceti's "political" structure, for lack of a better term. He's taken his time thus far, but chance provides an opportunity, perhaps, as Homura catches a glimpse of someone just before he all but vanishes into the snow. There is little way to know for certain; all Homura has seen, after all, are pictures on a single journal entry. But given the nature, he opts to follow. Excusing himself will be simple enough if he's mistaken. He makes little effort to hide his presence as he follows, merely watching for the present.]

[Albert pauses as he's walking in the snow, unsure whether he's just hearing echoes of his own footsteps on the wind. He remains with his back turned for a moment, then glances over his shoulder quietly.]

[Not bad. That awareness to turn around is a positive sign, given the role Homura suspects this person to play. Homura's grin widens a fraction, and he offers a nod by way of greeting before immediately jumping to his reason for following.]

[And Frey, given it's a weekend, is out and about. He was just training earlier, and now he's just taking a walk through the village. He'll pause, though, upon seeing Albert supposedly playing in the snow.] Hello....?
[...Well. Albert stops in the middle of what he is doing, looking over towards the voice without standing up from where he is crouching. He doesn't greet the prince, noting the tentative tone in his voice.]
I'll have to decline, Prince. But thank you. [It's a very polite response. There's a pause before Albert stands, dusting at his snow-covered knees.] Taking a walk?
