And since I officially passed the property agent the cheque for the balance of the $5000 deposit and signed page 8 of the option to purchase, I think we can proudly say we are well on my way to owning our own place!

IKR! It was the layout that attracted us. My uncle living nearby has almost the exact same layout (but flipped left to right) so we knew what it would look like cleared from all the existing furniture.

We also saw quite a lot of different layouts and this really topped them all.

Haha omi its more like a few months? Estimated we will only get the keys to it around mid march or april next year lol.

Well firstly the first hdb appt is likely to be earliest mid-nov and then it's another 6-8 weeks to the 2nd hdb appt. Secondly we prob will delay the first appt by a bit so that the seller can settle their own house that they are buying, and thirdly, they asked for two months extension after second HDb appt.

How did you get your place in only 7 weeks?? Even in the best of circumstances with the hdb appts that's near impossible!
