My little chis would LOVE to tear apart that wicker bed, and they are 2 yrs old. And they would chew on those records for fun as well.

As for the bed, we have a ramp and I sleep with both my chis and have done so since they were wee little pups.

Your pup is adorable!!!

I've been thinking he might like chewing on that wicker bed, and if it won't hurt him it's OK by me. The records on the other hand... :D

Where do your chi's sleep up by your heads or by your sides?

One sleeps in the middle of our king bed up by my head and the pillows (sometimes on a pillow) and the other sleeps down by my legs, again in the middle of the bed. Even though I sleep alone in a huge king bed with my dogs (my husband is away), they somehow take up a whole lot of space!

I haven't used the heat so far this year...when I get chilly I just cuddle with the doggies. :-)

Oh, my goodness, that's a CUTE puppy!

I think the crate looks good. I like it that you seperated the potty area, and put his dishes in the bed area. That was smart.

I can't wait to meet him!

I wanted him to have a room for resting and eating and a room for pee! I'm hoping the little curtain I made will help kiiinda fool him into thinking they are totally separate. There's a little pathway to the pee room too. (^-^)

That's really good, since most dogs do NOT want to potty where they eat and sleep. I think it's a great idea, really.

I can't wait to see pictures of him, growing up:)

Oh I just want to squish him! He's so cute!

I've let my Chi sleep with me (or my mom) since probably day 3 of bringing her home. I think the first two nights I didn't move at all cause I was so afraid I'd roll over on her but after so long I realized that if I started to roll over she'd just get up and move sos he didn't get smushed.

Too cute for words! I agree that the wicker might be chewed up, but otherwise looks good. I let Zeus sleep with us on occasion now, but now when he was that little. I was paranoid of him breaking his neck. When we got Zeus, the person we got him from kept the puppies on a blanket and that is where they peed, so he got in the habit of peeing in his bed. So that was an initial challenge. It's nice you have hard wood floors - easier to clean! Good luck.

We got our Murry when he was 7 weeks old from an SPO (he's 10 1/2 weeks now). He slept with us the first night we got him and he slept on the pillow. It is still his favorite place to sleep. He likes it when I sleep on my tummy so he can tuck his bottom under the curve of my chin, and if I'm on my back he'll either sleep in the crook of my arm or on the pillow above my shoulder. I also have a baby blanket for him that is his special blanket, it goes everywhere with him, it goes in his bag when we're out and about, and if it's sleepy time and he's wide awake we'll wrap him in it and it helps him to calm down. He has pretty much learned that being wrapped in his blankie means it's time for bed and he conks out ( ... )

I don't know if I suggested it to you or someone else but a bell is great for a little dog too. Helps you keep track of where they are.
