I'm taking a new spin on this journal... I'm going to record my experiences as an MFT student as best I can.

I'm about to begin my first semester at Kansas State University - classes begin August 20th.  I have 4 classes over 3 days... each 3 hours long.  It's a different format than undergrad school... but I think it will give me more freedom over ( Read more... )

I'm going to volunteer at Aurora this summer and they have a program where I get to go around the hospital to rehab and cancer patients, talking to them about their lives and writing a small story about it ( Read more... )

Ok, well I'm still at Georgia Pacific... no major friends there yet after a month, which saddens me a little, but oh well. Things take time. I've been trying to get into Planned Parenthood to volunteer and I finally got a meeting set up, which is really good cuz I need the hourse for a class. I hope it's fun ( Read more... )

My birthday was good... went out to the Watering Hole with Carie, Jonathan and Jeff. Carie bought me my first shot of Apple Pucker, followed by Sex on the Beach. It was very good and quickly gone... replaced by a tequilla sunrise. Still good, but not as good as sex on the beach. I've been low on the self-esteem lately... not really sure what I want in life... so I've been crabby a lot lately, making it hard to get along with other people and causing frequent arguments and making me snap easily.

On the plus side, been working out regularly... so that will help when I just wanna sit around eating ice cream.

I got to go snowmobiling for the first time today. Jonathan said he'd let me drive one, but I didn't expect it to be right away... so I was a little surprised when he told me to get on and that he wasn't coming with me. It takes a lot more muscle to drive one than I ever thought, but oh my God is it fun!! It's even better when the freezing cold ( Read more... )

Got my first paycheck from Midwest... $150 for 2 weeks... not too bad. I was making twice as much at Walmart, but I was also putting in twice as many hours. Now I have more time for school and more time for friends, should they have free time ( Read more... )
