School Days -- Start of Week 4

Jan 28, 2010 11:38

This update will show all of the kids in Little Hollywick, and hopefully will portray their accurate ages since I messed up my timing and probably confused a few of you. Anyhoo, these are the kids at the very start of Week 4.

Max Clock is the oldest student (and kid) in town. He was born during week 1 to Harmony and Stephen Clock. He now attends Little Hollywick High School.

Ella Clock and Dewey Dingle were both born during week 2. (Dewey was born on Thursday of that week and Ella was born on Friday.) They are both within a couple of days of turning into teenagers when they will join Max at the public high school. But for now, they're attending the combined elementary and middle school of Little Hollywick.

Twins Huntley and Oliver Clock along with Susie Dingle were all born on Wednesday of Week 3. They are just starting their childhood age and Monday of Week 4 will be their first day of school! They are also attending the Little Hollywick Academy that Ella and Dewey attend.

Sam Gates is the youngest of the children. He was born on Friday of Week 3. He will become a child in a couple of days and will join the other kids at the Little Hollywick Academy. But for now he is being cared for at home by his father, Clay Peshterianu. (There is no daycare in Little Hollywick at this time, although we're hoping to get an education-minded person to start one as a business!)

I'm going to start posting these "School Days Post" at the beginning of every week. That way I can keep track of ages and things, and it's kind of fun too.

A Note on Aging:
I am using the normal Maxis aging system. Sims do not age up until the actual time for it; meaning I don't age them up when I get the "1-day left" warning pop-up. This way it should be pretty equal for each child (unless they were born at like 5pm and the game counts that as one day...which really makes me mad when that happens!). Anyway, hopefully this will help me keep them all on the same page and schedule.
