I've never done one of these before, but since nimi4 tagged me I thought I'd give it a shot.
A. List ten habits/quirks/facts about yourself.
B. Tag ten people to do the same. Do not tag the person who tagged you or say that you tag "whoever wants to do it". And if I tag you, you're obliged to go through with this.
1. I am fascinated by history, pretty much all history. Although my favorite period is the Tudor period of Britain. I was in love with his story and era long before Showtime made the series "The Tudors" and I have read every book possible about that era! I swear I was Anne Boleyn in a previous life.
2. I am a jack of all trades when it comes to "careers". I first went to college for accounting, but found that job to be too boring. So then I went to cosmetology school, but it doesn't make very good money when you're first starting out. I just recently finished a degree in Health Services Administration and am trying to get a job with our local hospital's transplant center. I also really want to become a nurse, so once my hubby finishes his Master's degree, I'll most likely go back to school for my BSN. In addition to all of that, I also own a handmade greeting card company and sell all sorts of greeting cards that I make right here out of my dining room!
3. I am in love with the soap opera "All My Children" and have watched it religiously for roughly 15 years. I secretly want to marry Ryan Lavery (he's so gorgeous!).
4. I've never finished a legacy challenge. I've gotten to around generation 5, but I always tend to lose interest and start something else. But thankfully, Little Hollywick is keeping my interest completely!
5. I have lost 65 pounds in the 17 months since my son was born. I haven't been this tiny since my first year in college (my first time in college, that is...hee). I almost fit into my old cheerleading uniform! Hurrah!
6. I swear I have insomnia. I get up early every morning, have a very active day with my 17 month old son, and go to bed at 11 p.m. I almost always stay awake for at least an hour to read a book, and then I usually lie in bed wide awake for 2 hours or so. I just have such a hard time falling asleep. It feels like my brain never stops thinking!
7. I have entered just about every contest on the Ellen Degeneres Show, and never won anything. Hmph.
8. I love Harry Potter, but I don't like Twilight.
9. I used to have a huge crush on Michael Jackson, and I told my parents when I was 5 years old that I was going to grow up and marry him. But then he got all creepy and I'm so glad I dodged that bullet.
10. I have a Victorian piggy bank (actually in the shape of a pig) on my desk. It belonged to my great-great-great-grandmother Lisette who bought it in 1874. It has been passed on to every first-born girl in my family since then. Lisette wrote a letter to her daughter when she gave her the pig. That daughter wrote one to her daughter when she passed on the pig and so on. So when I received it, it came with letters from each one of my ancestors including the original one from Lisette. It's now mine and I just need to have a girl at some point to pass it on to!
