I hate job hunting.

I'm applying to places in the city where I'm moving because my hours at Tim's are less than what I was promised back in May. I told my boss that I wanted to quit my part time job at the video store, but I could only do that if I could be guaranteed full time hours at Tim Horton's. She said sure, did I mind working an evening ( Read more... )

I hope things get better with you with work. Hopefully you can get a new job.
Being a waitress does seem really scary, I've never tried to become one because of that reason. But like every new job you will get you will have to be trained, it's like any other.
Hope it turns around for you. *hugs*

Alright take a deep breath cuz its going to be okay. I'm a waitress, have been for a few years, and I host, and now I'm a shift leader manager thing at the restaurant where I work. Having been a hostess puts a couple points in your favor. It means you at least have an idea of how a restaurant works. It also means that you know how to deal with difficult customers (I hate it when people get pissy about their wait time) and have manners. If you can't get a job as a waitress, get one as a host and then after a couple months ask to be trained as a waitress as well. People who are trained to do multiple jobs are a huge asset, and it shows that you're willing to learn. If you DO get a waitress job, rule number one is DON"T BE AFRAID TO ASK FOR HELP!!! Restaurants are about the guests, so if you are confused or overwhelmed and don't ask for help, the guests suffer and you'll get in trouble. What city are you moving to? If you have any questions, don't be afraid to message me babe! Good luck!

Thank you so much for the encouragement. :) I haven't heard anything back yet, but maybe there's still hope. Thanks.
