This new firewall at work is absurd. eBay is blocked, but Amazon is not. Photobucket and Tinypic are blocked, but Flickr is not. Myspace, Facebook, and Twitter are blocked (which doesn't really bother me- I do all that stuff on my phone) but Livejournal is not, AND NEITHER IS 4CHAN. Really, you guys? Really?I've been in something of a perfume-y ( Read more... )

I'd talk to State Farm about getting that money back. They had us paying about $50 extra a month for a ticket Matt got deferred in WA for over a year. We complained about it, they looked into it and we got a fat check. So, it's worth talking to them about.

1. firewalls are lame. because you can go to google and view the cached version lol. among other things. also if you go on google and type in the website and i'm feeling lucky, it'll take you to the most viewed one i think so you'll probably get on ( ... )

I might have to check out Daisy! I love the smell of gardenias. Chanel perfume is so freakin' classy. I'm a sucker for good ol' no.5 but I can never find the right occasion to wear it.

Right after I posted this entry, the guy from State Farm called me! He said they should have the value for my car by Monday! I just hope I can get that squared away before Labor day... That's when all the good car sales are! It's stressing me out right now, but I figure if I get a new car out of it, I can handle another week of kaka.

Money sucks. I'm ready to go back to being seventeen, when I didn't have to think about stupid shit like how going out to Starbucks is going to impact my weekly budget.

aw yay! i hope everything gets settled and you get enough money to get a car you like!

let's just pretend we're 17 ok?

They told us they'd know in 45 days, and it's been 26. We're still putting in other offers

My Realtor told me that we couldn't do this. That there was a risk by placing offers on multiple properties- as in more then one offer getting accepted.

Our Realtor says that because it's still a contingency, and even though the seller has accepted our offer, it doesn't really make a difference until the bank accepts their package. If they're not deemed eligible to short sell the home, our offer becomes invalid. So for the time being, we're totally free to go look at other houses. Besides, if we were to do short sales one at a time, we'd NEVER get a house. 45 days for *one* house? So much wasted time!

It's pretty unlikely for us to have multiple bids accepted (given our current track record... We're probably up around 15-20 offers, and only one has been accepted), but she says that in the event that it happens, she knows how to get us out. I trust her- she's been doing this for years and years. I think she's represented almost half of Dustin's family throughout the past 20 years.

There's 2390832908492034 short sales going on here. I have found it nearly impossible to find a bank approved one.

Good luck though-

What are you replacing the focus with?

Short sales take foreeeeeever. I honestly have no idea why they're called "short" sales, when they're anything but. But hey, a house is a house. Who are we to turn down potentials? We're also looking at REOs, but those are such a hotbed for cash investors.

Thanks!

Probably another Focus. I loved that car. I think I'm going to try to get a used '08 coupe with SYNC. I've sworn off new cars for a good long while.

I have different scents for different times of the year! For spring, I have Lacoste Touch of Pink, which smells like playing tennis in cardigans with Muffy and Buffy. For summer, I like Juicy Couture's signature fragrance, which is kind of more of the same. For fall, I switch up my gears and go for Karmala, which is sadly discontinued. I LOVE it. Winter, I pull out my stuff from CB I Hate Perfume, mostly In The Library. It's funny how in spring and summer, I'm so utterly girly and then once fall rolls around, I start my transformation turn into Rachel Weisz' character from The Mummy.

Haha, I love your description of Touch of Pink. I've never smelled it, but I'm familiar with the Juicy fragrance, which smells really nice!

I remember your post about CB I Hate Perfume! I'll have to check that site out again. In The Library sounds like it smells really good.
