I can't believe the amount of insurance claims the Wii has caused. XD

What I don't get is, sure $1k is a lot of dough, but thats how much the ps1 was when it first came out. My cousin and his flatmate when halves on one of the originals like the DAY they came out (best christmas I've EVER had, all day playing Battle Arena Toshinden XD ♥). The price, it will come down, and so for the rest of us. We wait.

it came out here at $1k? i certainly don't remember that especially since the US release price was $299.00

Although i know the PS2 released here at AU$750ish but it was only weeks before they dropped the price considerably. (and i think that was when the exchange rate sucked)

I know the price will drop, i'm saying i'm not paying the starting price, we will wait for a while and the price will come down like it did with the PS2

Yeah I remember my cousin and his flatmate being totally skint for ages afterwards but heralding it as totally worth it. Maybe they had a japanese version or a pre-release or something? But I know it was that much at the very beginning and then went down rapidly (I don't think we got ours till they were around $200 or something crazed like that).

GOD those hateful hateful days when 1AUD =2USD+ >_<;;

And in the mean time, we STEAL TIME ON OTHER PEOPLES! BWahahaa! I have a friend who has alread budgeted for his starting-price ps2. The bastard will have White Knight and then is going to MOVE TO CANBERRA! He claims I should just come visit him to play because I could do that three times and it STILL work out cheaper than buying my own. XD XD
