Do you have farmers' markets in your area, and if so, do you like to shop there for fresh items? What's the best thing you've ever brought home from one?

Wow, you scored an amazing deal on the flowers. I would have been overjoyed as well because I adore peonies. It is one of my favorite flowers.

I love their visual texture; I think peonies look so pretty when their petals are all puffed out.

Yay Farmers Markets! I love them. :) Unfortunately, so many of our local markets end up importing produce from California because they want to sell things that don't grow here. *huffs* To me, this sort of defeats the purpose.

But YAY! Market! Yay! Flowers! :D

I love them as well. I know what you mean about the importing. I go to Nevada (Lake Tahoe area and thereabouts) a few times a year and sometimes we go to the markets. They sell the same produce that I would find in my area (which is much closer to the fields and farms) and it generally costs more.

Flowers make me smile. :)
