Farmers' Markets
Do you have farmers' markets in your area, and if so, do you like to shop there for fresh items? What's the best thing you've ever brought home from one?
There are several farmers' markets in my area and I love to walk around the various stalls, looking at all the fresh produce and sometimes tasting samples that the vendors offer to entice customers. I particularly like it when my favorite fruits are in season and there are great deals on super fresh strawberries, white peaches, green grapes, and mangoes.
My favorite farmers' market is near a park. I will sometimes buy sandwiches from a nearby restaurant to go with my fruits and have an impromptu picnic when the weather is nice. It's is also has a nice scenic view of a pond.
The best thing I ever brought home from one are two dozen white and peach colored roses and a dozen fluffy pink peonies. The vendor had to unexpectedly leave early and she was in a rush to sell off all her products. The total cost for all three bouquets was $5-an excellent deal.
