*John is, for lack of a better thing to do, practising his sword drill in a fairly large empty room. He's currently leaning against a wall, eyeing the sword opposite him rather balefully in an attempt to regain his breath*

Happening to pass by, Rina also happens to hear the sounds within the room and, thoughtlessly curious as ever, takes a look inside. "...hello?"

John straightens up and tries to get his hair into some sort of order, bowing slightly. "Good day, madam."

She laughs quickly at that. "I'm no madam," she assures him, and offers a hand and a smile. "I'm Rina."

He takes her hand and kisses it lightly, smiling. "Pleased to meet you, then, Miss Rina. I am John Grey."

Beatrice, having recently come in from a walk, will wander in, closing her parasol-- and when she looks up, she's a little surprised to find someone else in the room, but quickly makes a very ladylike curtsy. It's likely, however, that both she and the parasol are recognizable from certain random attacks on the public not too long ago.

John arches an eyebrow and bows, looking amused. "Good day, miss."

"Good day, Signior." She glances curiously at the sword-- she may not swoon over soldiers like many young ladies, but like many women who haven't quite gotten over girlhood, she takes a certain delight in the idea of battles-- the sort that comes from having no idea what they're like, and having heard a great deal of stories exaggerated to make the teller seem dashing and brave (though she's a little too sharp to believe most of them.)

"I was practising," John nods towards the sword, shrugging a bit. "It was badly needed, if I might add." This is said with a wry grin -- a King's soldier should not need that much practise with a sword, after all.

Typist: LATENESS DOES NOT EXIST.
