The less said about the remainder of Saturday, the better.  The tomato was just the beginning and it went downhill from there.  A full mommy melt down later and I feel a bit better.  For all the bad there was some good outcome.  Chris' mom came over and watched the kids yesterday (Monday)  for a few hours so I could have some Brenda-time.  I went ( Read more... )

I didn't know you were interested in those. Later this summer I'll be finishing translating the recipe books (written in Swedish and Norwegian) left by my great-grandmothers and grandmothers. I'm the only one left who can begin to read them.

I miss lefse. Well I make it here once or twice a year - but I miss getting it from my grama during the holidays. She doesn't bake anymore.

Anyway I'll gladly share recipes with you as I get them converted over if you'd like. bw there is a place here that sells the most wonderful lingonberry jam I've had since my g-grama passed in the 70's. *drool*

Hi, sorry I haven't replied before this.

I would love to have the recipes. The kids seem to like the lefse I picked up at that shop. I love to experiment with new recipes. Just send them whenever you get time. My personal email is brenda at nickelrocket dot com.

Thanks!

For such sweet and angelic kids they sure can create havoc!! Just keep remembering that in a little over 2 weeks you'll be on vacation with babysitters close by. Melt downs are not all bad. Usually you always feel better after one. Bonnie
