I haven't posted about the garden because my mind has been elsewhere.  I found a psychologist to evaluate Sam for ADD.  He did 2 different tests.  The first was a computer test that tracked his ability to keep focused.  He watched a large square appear on the screen.  There would be a smaller square inside either at the top or the bottom of the ( Read more... )

Almost 10 years ago, our (then new) dog Sally slipped out of her collar as we took her to the vet the day after we adopted her. Bonnie and Larry agreed to watch the kiddos for the weekend so I could go to San Francisco to see Chris.  I arrived on Saturday, Sept. 1st.  My plane was delayed 1.5 hours because of "air traffic control issues".  I have no idea what it means but after getting everyone onto the plane and seated, the told us to disembark.  But we finally left and ( Read more... )

I have a pretty good birthday.  I turned 45 today.  Not a number that is fun but it is accurate.  I don't feel 45 but my body knows when to make sure to assert that I am, indeed, 45.  I am flying out to San Francisco in the morning to visit Chris for the weekend.  My aunt and uncle are here to take care of the kids and get them to school on Tuesday ( Read more... )

I came up with an idea last week to convert Sam's train table into a Lego table.  He doesn't use the trains at all so I convinced him that the parts can go into bins (which will eventually leave the house).  I then removed the table from his bedroom and replaced our coffee table with it.  The coffee table will go into the attic when Chris comes ( Read more... )
