Oh my Gods.
It's a kitty the size of a horse.... No really, it is! (Click on images to make him biiiiig!)

I have a dear friend, GinRei, who worked with a rescue and breeding shelter, traveling around with the cats and playing with the babies (lucky, lucky girl). We were fortunate enough to be able to offer her a place to stay while she was traveling, and she brought us lots of great photos. She had some pretty interesting things to say about all of the cats, but the Ligers made her roll her eyes. She said she'd never met an animal quite so dopey.

Nomad and I are used to dumb kitties. Two years ago I adopted a very sweet, black stray who was pregnant. We called her Rox (as in "dumb-as-a-box-of-", but spelled differently to give her a little dignity). We think she had bred with her own son, so when she had her four kits, three of them turned out to be extremely stupid (but incredibly sweet). The fourth (the only boy) is not exactly brilliant -- he's just bolder, more curious, and less vacant compared to his sisters. :P
My mother used to breed Himalayans which are an poofy, inbred cross between Persians and Siameses. (yes, Lux, even poofier than me!). They were called "lap cats," not necessarily because they were affectionate, but because they were too dumb to get down. ;)

He might even be bigger than Hiatus thinks he is, but I doubt it.

*smirk* Does Hiatus think he is so big? I thought Hiatus, like Totoro, still thought he had the dimensions of a kitten, and constantly lived in a state of slight confusion when physical reality did not match up.
