Your Damon is so deliciously in character. I have to wonder whether Chloe was actually turned now, though, since she bit him and possibly ingested some of his blood before she died. Very intriguing.

I started watching the show about two weeks ago and finished the first season last night. Short time to get a character's 'voice' down, but thanks for the vote of confidence! XD

Love the Damon/Elena pairing, but as always, I couldn't help but pair him up with my fav character Chloe. It's a virus that's been spreading through the net for a few years now, urging people to cross Chloe with other fandoms. She's just perfect with whomever.

I actually reasoned that Chloe gave up her life so 'easily' because of her redhot phoenix skills, knowing she'd come back to life anyhow. Considering a short sequel where they cross paths again, and Damon's reaction to seeing her alive and ringless... Hmm, fun to be had. ;)

Oh, loved this! Damon was so deliciously yummy, to bad he killed my girl though. I do have a feeling though, that Chloe's not as 'dead' as he thinks... Hopefully she still has her meteor power and comes back to life to haunt his ass! *g*

Anyhoo, this was fabulous! Thanks for writing!!

Chloe's got some cards up her sleeve, else she would've put up more of a fight. Imagine Damon's surprise... LOL!

Have never seen Vampire Diaries and now think I may need to watch. This line in particular caught my eye: He would let his mind wander back to the blonde girl that had not been his victim, but a... casualty to his inhumanity. But then it's followed up with:But as soon as he fell asleep, he would forget about the unusual young woman and the two dead bodies in a Metropolis alley. I would enjoy a sequel in which Mr. Salvatore has a surprise confrontation with one of those not-as-dead-as-he'd-imagined bodies. I think it would be good for him.

And this was hilarious: "Oh, just get it over with already," she urged him angrily, and he drew back with a snicker. I can so hear AM saying that.

I wonder if it occurred to Damon that she wasn't calling for Superman?

Without giving away too much about the show, Damon changes quite a lot throughout the first season. I imagine this to be somewhat in the beginning, and a next meeting somewhere down the line where he's refound his ... err, humanity? Close enough ;p

I wanted to show how Damon didn't think of Chloe just as a walking bloodbank, but wasn't immediately shown the error of his ways because of a ten minute meeting. He killed the other girl as well, just because he could.

Will probably make a sequel that might involve 'someone' calling for superman ;)

I loved, loved this. One of the reasons is that I also have a habit of crossing Chloe over with every other fandom I'm into and I've just been waiting for someone to write her with Damon.

And second, like scifichick774 said, Damon is so wonderfully in character. (I've read only a few Vampire Diaries fics before and Damon somehow always turns into this fluffy character :).

Widening his eyes, he gasped. "What? That's impossible - there's no such thing as vampires!"

xD That was great. There were so many different things I enjoyed. He is still who he is and at best he's amused and intrigued by this strange girl. But that doesn't stop him from killing her (which I don't know why but I wasn't expecting and that surprise was just awesome as well), and the other girl!

I'm not gonna be too sad about the ending because in my head, Chloe does come back. :D

If you do have plans to write more I'd so, so love a sequel :). Thank you for this!

I ventured into VD fanfiction just a few days ago and was quite appalled. I didn't do an extensive search, but there's so much junk. Elena's too whiney, Bonnie too pathetic, Caroline too bitchy, Stefan too broody and Damon... a lapdog to whatever girl they paired him up with. Blah, I'm gonna have to steel myself before diving in again.

I'm so glad I managed to get THE most important message in this fic across: Damon's a bastard and Chloe ain't the holy mother mary. They're just a very intriguing and fun mix. I added in the fact that he still killed the other girl as an afterthought, because I'd totally forgotten about her XD

Sequel in the making, dear.
