*Both hands on heart* I PROMISE. (We already want revenge on them for knocking out Fiorentina, and Lucio will eat them.)

I know, I know. *pats* Your team whomps on some golden heroes and you run to the press to see your boys finally get the praise they deserve and... DISAPPOINTED. Been there so many times. It sucks.

I'd be shocked if anyone noticed all the Barca-flopping and all the Barca-whingeing (Yank asks: did I use that properly?), and all the Barca-poor sportsmanship in attacking Special's car and storming the Inter hotel and throwing shit after the game and turning on the sprinklers and whining about Yaya's handball but not noticing Pique's offside goal, and etc etc etc, cos everyone knows that Barca is goodness and light and Jose is self-important. If I read the post-mortem, I'll just get angry.

Mr. D was so upset at the partisan nature of the play-by-play during the match that he was converted from agnostic and hoping for a good match to firmly rooting for Inter.

Oh god, no, I'm laughing me tits off at the press. *Points and laughs* Silly English people, HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! I just thought I'd corral this bunch of criticism here so it doesn't clog up the comments to Martha's spam.

Yes! Whingeing is exactly the right word. (And actually, I think turning on the sprinklers was the most genius thing they've ever done. WET WHITE KITS!!) To be fair, a lot of the reports have commended José for tactical acumen, but I wish they'd praise the players more. I think they eventually realised that WuSam and JC were quite good. XD

\o/!!!! Go, Mr D! He is truly one of us.

I think it's that the writers in most of the non-Italy papers just don't know Inter very well. I'm definitely finding it hard to keep up with the transition in journalism. Before we got to the semifinals most of the people writing Inter match reports knew who the players were; now it seems as if none of them does. From reading the reports you'd think it was Barca versus eleven Josés; and most of them HATE!!! José!... But tbh I don't really care that much. The lads know how much WE love them, especially after they got mobbed at the airport, and that's all that matters. *Cuddles them liberally*

Boo to the English press, anyway. They defected en masse to Barcelona after all the English teams were knocked out. After a couple of years of either ignoring this team that was really doing quite well for itself, or outright hating them for BUHUHU NOMG STEALING TROPHIES FROM HONEST HARDWORKING ENGLISH TEAMS, suddenly it was the east and Barca the sun. Whatever.

I didn't expect much from them, to be honest. 9_9 The level of the contest where neutrals start watching can be a bit trying: "We haven't heard of your team, so they're crap." And the English are still completely obsessed with José, which, admittedly, is reasonable.

Predictably enough for a 10-man team managed by Jose Mourinho, Inter's players are dropping like flies and pretending they're injured at every opportunity.
This mbm man seems to be able to identify very little. Sergio Busquets is not an Inter player and not managed by José Mourinho. And Barcelona were not playing with 10 men. Get your facts right.

And I do lament the lack of R-rated warnings too.

Looking forward to the final - the right teams came through, so I'm sure it's going to be an interesting game. :)

Ha!! XD Well said. I'm not pretending ours weren't diving, but theirs certainly were as well, come on. (And I've noticed they often write impromptu fanfiction about José. They should just give into it and post it somewhere suitable, preferably with warnings.)

Thank you! Do you support Bayern?... Obviously, I'm hoping we win, but reaching the final is so amazingly unexpected I don't care what happens. \o/

Inter didn't get anyone sent off with a dive. That's the main difference. Of course diving is unsportsmanlike and all, but if the sole "reward" is an unimportant free kick that leads to nothing, I think it can be forgiven and forgotten. But in the case of Busquets it can't, and I don't see how that mbm guy you quoted could have found Inter's diving worth such harsh criticism when Busquets' a lot more obvious diving wasn't even mentioned.

They should just give into it and post it somewhere suitable, preferably with warnings.
Agree completely. At least that would be fun. ;)

I've been a Bayern fan for over 15 years so yes, I'm supporting them. ;) I'm hoping we win (no surprise here), but more than that I'm proud of having reached the final, and I hope it will be a fair, enjoyable game no matter who wins.
