Every time I have a lot of work, I always want to play video games. Thank GOD I don't have my PS3 in Davis with me, or I'd be on that thing all the time. (Haha, just kidding, I would feel way too guilty and I'd get really hard on myself for not studying instead.)

Although I cannot relate to the ACIII stuff yet as I haven't beaten my copy, I really enjoyed this thoroughly. I think you hit the nail on the head for a lot of it, and captured what makes AC so beautiful: the locale and it's story.

I want to get into ACIII, I REALLY want to get ACIII, but after only playing a few chapters, I really cannot stand Haytham and it just doesn't feel very Creed like right now. It's hard though -- how can a game possibly live up to the Ezio trilogy? Even after the third game where I was all but burned out I STILL loved every minute of it.

I think being forced to play as Haytham in the beginning was, in general, a pretty bad idea on Ubisoft's part. I know it's really slow and kind of irritating, but it sets the stage for something quite good later, so keep at it! Honestly I barely remember any of the Haytham bits because I hated everybody he kept company with and he also got on my nerves like no other. A lot of things changed during the course of the game, though, so at least you have something to look forward to...?

The Ezio trilogy was amazing, and I don't really think anything can live up to Italy in general, but Assassin's Creed III is totally worth playing. Although maybe I was so interested and surprised by anything because I don't know anything about American history. I mean NOTHING. I didn't know who Paul Revere was and my housemates were 100% shocked. Try it out anyway, I'd love to know what you think of it!

So far, it's better than ACIV, anyway.

Oh absolutely. I'll definitely finish it up, because I still have a lot of unanswered questions about what's going on at this part in the game anyway. There's still some major cliffhangers I'm sitting on from Revelations (though the Desmond missions, as annoying as the first person view was, were absolutely excellent for giving us more about the backstory). I think my absolute only gripe with the Ezio trilogy came in the middle/endish, when you could play some of the Altair missions which allowed you to get more insight to what happened to him, and they CHANGED HIS VOICE. I get it, they were trying to give him a more middle eastern accent since that's where he was from, essentially, but you can't go from an American accented Altair to a Middle Eastern one! It just doesn't work that way. So I was miffed through all of those missions. Voice actor/ress swaps are my worst enemy

I hated, hated, HATED that they changed Altair's voice actor. It's funny, because I never really minded that he happened to sound more American versus more Middle Eastern (I think he's meant to be Syrian, but it's never really confirmed) - in fact, I got used to it. It was just awkward hearing him speak with another language. I don't know if Ubisoft knows this, but keeping voice actors constant helps keep things smooth and continuous. It sometimes feels like you're dealing with a completely different character when their voice actor has changed

Haha, I tend to always want to play video games when I have work to do too! XD I'm glad that you liked our ME Trilogy entry...and that that made you want to talk about video games. Hehe, that is awesome!

~I can't talk too much about Assassin's Creed since I haven't played the games myself (although one of our RL friends is in love with them so I feel like I know a lot about them because she always talks about them, haha!), but I really liked reading your answers here. Especially regarding liking ACIII and Connor as a character. He sounds really awesome!

Your entry is probably what I would have written if I had the energy, really. It hit the nail right on the head!

I highly, highly, highly recommend the series. As expected, some games are better than others (although it's really a matter of taste), but for a series that's been going on for so long, it has stayed really strong and interesting. I was busy recommending Dragon Age back on your journal, but I would say that Assassin's Creed is even better, so give it a high place on your to-play list! Like I suggested, though, skipping Assassin's Creed I might be best - if only because it would probably put you off the series rather than get you into it. :p

Seconded on a recommendation of the AC series. Especially if you enjoyed ME. I think the two have a lot of similar qualities (mostly in backstory/story telling).
