So... on the day I contemplate whether I want to change my life and pursue the one thing I've always thought about and wanted to do for so long, I receive this comment:

You need to stop singing. sounds really awful although it would probably require someone like Simon Cowell to convince you no offense..And I just sat here in my seat feeling the ( Read more... )

The truth is, I said it over and over again. I love your singing voice. It's different, it's a breath of fresh air. Sure, you sounded strained or pitchy but that can be solve with more practice and singing lessons. :)

About the genre, it's not easy to find something that fits your voice. It also depends if you like or comfortable singing that certain genre. I've seen many J-Pop artists tried and kept restarting their career because their previous genre doesn't work and they never give up and they keep on trying simply because they love singing so much. :)

For your deep voice, I don't know... maybe pop rock or rock ballad. ;) (I love your Nana's Black Stones covers) But I'm sure you will find the genre you looking for, deep voice has more advantages than a Disney sweet voice high-pitch voice, IMHO. :)

Ah, I wish I had more courage to start singing too... :3

Thank you, I'm glad that my voice is still all right for you. :) You're right though, it does get strained and pitchy, so I'm hoping if I go for lessons, I can at least fix that and my breathing techniques.

I don't really see myself having a career for singing. At most, I just see myself singing part time, or for events, just to support and entertain mostly. But that's why I need to figure out what kind of songs I can handle... cause I know my voice can't carry a lot of songs. I just need to figure that out mostly.

There's still time! Even for me, although I'm already this old I'm still trying to work on things most people would do in their teens. XD It's never too late until you give up!

Oh... if it's for part time or events, that's great too. :D
