Yay for happy mush! I was mush of a much less happy flavor while writing the end -- I'd been determined to post on Black Friday (as a public service) but hadn't finished it by the time the show aired. And for various reasons I'd been CONVINCED Luke and Reid would be having sex before the end, so I ended up writing the final paragraphs in a traumatized daze…
I get it! The baby rattle cockblocking sent me over the edge, and I rode a wave of anger right to my first fan fic lol! I can only imagine being in the middle of this wonderful story and then seeing that idiotic stuff on the show at the same time... You have my sympathy.
Righteous anger does make for good fic. :) And not being able just to walk away from the fandom (which would have been my usual coping mechanism) did force me to deal with my trauma in a healthier way. And by that I mean giving the boys two more sex chapters instead of just one. ;)
