This chapter makes me so happy. It's like reading a poem.

I could picture them crossing the Brooklyn Bridge - one of my favourite spots on this earth.

I'm so glad you had them meeting by accident in New York. My favourite guys enjoying my favourite city. :)

Thank you! I never imagined I could have so much fun writing them outside the hotel room ;) And I'm grateful they gave me an excuse finally to see what all the fuss was about (yup, twas magical). Had the timing worked out, I would have had them cross at sunset....

You know the one thing I've just noticed? How much I'm in love with the constant google references - because that pretty much defines me and how I live my daily life!

And another thing? New York has never been on my 'to do' list - always seemed to far away from this side of the globe - but you're certainly making me think twice about it - are all your places real that you mention in the story? I've googled [:D] Shake Shack so I know that that's real, have you been to all the others?

And the paragraph that lemondrop quoted??? She beat me to it, as I read it I was just so absorbed by their love - just perfect!

Glad you liked that paragraph - this chapter was a difficult one to finish as I had to do it right after having watched the Black Friday episode (choo-choo).

And this entire story should certainly be dedicated to the wonder that is Google. Practically no aspect would have been possible without it ;) As for the NYC locales, it was almost obscenely fun doing my due diligence in person. Here's hoping no passersby suspected what I was doing. Even the "Chess" performance was (somewhat) based on reality.

Knowing that you wrote it around the time of Black Friday, makes sense, that you were able to tap into all the angst and passion that that show brought us.

So you were able to walk around NYC thinking of writing this fic and taking note of all the places you could imagine Reid and Luke??? Wish I had been a fly on the wall! Or at least bought you a shake!

Mmm, shake....

And ohh, yeah, there was plenty of angst to tap into - I had been convinced that there would be sex. Up until the moment Reid got into that car. So there were definitely some wounds in need of cauterizing.

“You felt it too,” Luke whispered. His eyes were closed

Reid’s were open. “I felt it too.”

Perfection.

Thank you! I posted this chapter - and had to finish writing it - immediately after the Black Friday episode (choo choo). So it was definitely heartfelt. (and having to write it kept me from abandoning the fandom altogether, which would have been my usual coping mechanism)

I'm glad you didn't abandon the fandom.

It's all okay over here in our little fictional worlds.
