ok so I'm wondering... if my chem was coming close to you and you could go see them, but it was going to cost a lot, how much would you pay to see them? Sorry if that's sorta personal :\ But they're coming semi-close to me in August, but its going to cost me a lot to go so I can't decide what to do, just pay for it since it would be awesome to see ( Read more... )

I'd go, no matter what tickets and traveling cost.

The shows they put on now aren't my type, so I doubt I'll ever go to another show. I hate coliseum shows. They're impersonal.

Maybe it sounds selfish, but the more fans there are, the easier you get lost in the crowd.

I know I'm making an assumption here, and that's going to be that you prefer much smaller gigs to these gigantic shows they've got now. If that's incorrect, ignore the rest of this.

I totally agree that the smaller shows are a lot more fun, but this is what happens when a band gets big. It kind of sucks, but if they did small shows, scalpers would buy all the tickets to resell them for a ridiculous profit and real fans would have to pay hundreds for them. And that would suck even more, because you shouldn't have to be super rich to see them.

I would pay whatever it costs cause it would be worth it to me. Since MCR aren't coming to St Louis..again..(I'm beyond pissed that STL keeps getting passed up for thr last 2 years) I'm going to Chicago to see them (and the other bands too) for Projekt Rev. I have pit tickets and I'm flying there so that's over $200 bucks that I'm spending.

I'm kinda lucky because my parents have paid for my tickets for the last two shows. (Which were half a year apart, mind you. If I had wanted to go to like 2 concerts in a row, they probably wouldn't have paid.)
So my expenses are just merchandise. (For which I'd personally spend like $100, but that's because otherwise I'd have to order from America, which would cost more.)

If I were paying for myself, I'd probably only go for $200 total, with merch included. But see, I only get $100 every 4 months or so, so I'd really have to have the money saved up.
It is different because I'm just a teen living with my parents, so I don't have other expenses, but I also have very limited income.
