How much is too much for you?

ok so I'm wondering... if my chem was coming close to you and you could go see them, but it was going to cost a lot, how much would you pay to see them? Sorry if that's sorta personal :\ But they're coming semi-close to me in August, but its going to cost me a lot to go so I can't decide what to do, just pay for it since it would be awesome to see ( Read more... )

The shows they put on now aren't my type, so I doubt I'll ever go to another show. I hate coliseum shows. They're impersonal.

I know I'm making an assumption here, and that's going to be that you prefer much smaller gigs to these gigantic shows they've got now. If that's incorrect, ignore the rest of this.

I totally agree that the smaller shows are a lot more fun, but this is what happens when a band gets big. It kind of sucks, but if they did small shows, scalpers would buy all the tickets to resell them for a ridiculous profit and real fans would have to pay hundreds for them. And that would suck even more, because you shouldn't have to be super rich to see them.

You're right. I'm not complaining. I'm just stating.

I can live the rest of my life just fine knowing I'll probably never see them live again. That's what happens. Maybe one day when the hype has calmed, they'll come and play the Plex like AFI, but until then, I'll be okay.
