There are wild turkeys on and around Kelly Butte, and a few pairs of juvenile toms forage around in our yards. They generally stay away from us (we make noise and throw things) but show up at the back door about once a week. This morning I wasn't sure who wanted to eat whom.

I walk from the central kitchen (which serves no food to staff) to the nearest dining unit at lunchtime. It's a couple of blocks. Today along the sidewalk in front of one house there was a pretty little calico cat. She had on a pink collar that she does her best to shred and escape. Muzi is still pretty much sticking to her room, though the door is now open. Rumi goes in and out (and seems to enjoy eating her food) and she doesn't seem to mind much. They both want to hang out with us when we're in there watching TV. How lucky are we to have two such friendly kitties!

Muzi spent the night behind a nice safe closed door in the guest room. She's friendly and inquisitive and wants to be with people, yay! I opened the door and let her and Rumi check one another out some more. When Rumi went outside, Muzi stepped out of her room and checked out the rest of the house for a minute. Rumi likes to play on the couch when he is in Goofy Poofy mode. He and I play pounce and stare at each other with crazy eyes. It makes me laugh out loud and puts a huge smile on my face. Loving the Miniature Shaggy Puma.

The sweet kitty is settling in and seeming to be at home. He shows no desire AT ALL to go outside; in fact, Kevin carried him outside one day and he flipped out.
