Cacao and Beachtimes

Well a friend gave me some cacao beans that had not yet been roasted so I spent Sunday doing that. The roasting was the easy part. The hard part is peeling the beans. If you've peeled nuts before (gutter, gentlemen, gutter) it's easier than peeling hazelnuts, but harder than peeling almonds. Since water and cocoa aren't a good mix, it's not ( Read more... )

Definitely beats the traffic. Nonetheless, I was up between 6:30 and 7 am most days. Sick when you think that this translates into 3:30 and 4 am PST.

Don't be jealous. A little bird told me that there is an island in your future/

LOL. I forget how frickin' hairy I am until someone takes a picture and then I am always shocked. Go figure.
