At work, we're in contract negotiations with management, and our union reps tell us that "they" are being unreasonable. Bonds is a cheater. He took drugs. I don't believe even he is so stupid that he "didn't know" what was in there. You don't gain 10 inches around your chest at 36 spontaneously. Things are going pretty well on the Tynesha front. I took her to her first 12 Step meeting last night. She said she liked that it was just real people speaking for themselves, no authority figures. She's going back on Friday to a women's-only meeting. Tonight, Jen is coming over for knitting, which will afford some additional support ( Read more... )

I have spent the better part of the last 36 hours babysitting Tynesha through the early stages of heroin withdrawal. Not a picnic. Whew! We did it. Solaris was again the wondrous celebration of excess that we have grown to love. New excitement was provided by the wood-fired hot tub (yay!) and the temperatures in the '80's (not 100's like the Madera years). Ang did an amazing job of organizing everything.
