I fail to understand how a "senioritocracy" is better than a meritocracy.

*"Senioritocracy" = a new term I just made up wherein those with seniority get to decide the rules for all union members. Some pigs are more equal.

As of yesterday, i won't be needing surgery. I still have to get xrayed again next week to be 100% sure, but it looks good.

And the doc is on notice of our vegas trip, so ge won't be ruining it in any case.

I was just watching last night's Stephen Colbert show and apparently Paul Simon has become a cute little old Jewish man with a bad combover.

Still sings nicely, tho.

When Jon Stewart announced it shortly after the polls closed here, I cried. And more of this wet stuff keeps leaking out of my eyes.

My friend Eddy died October 19 and last Saturday was his memorial service. I'm so sad. Eddy was only like 32, I think. He died of melanoma. Last person you would ever expect to get skin cancer...dude never went outside except to baseball games ( Read more... )
