Stargate Atlantis + Lost Tribe + Michael Shanks = WOOOO!

I've never voted for Best Ever - can't manage to do it while a series is still active as who knows what is yet to come.  BUT - together the two eps of Michael Shanks' guest appearance on Stargate Atlantis came damn close to getting that vote. For now, I voted Great!! Excellent!! Wonderful!!

It's a good thing I don't watch Atlantis regularly because Keller just annoyed me. About the only time she DIDN'T annoy me was when she turned herself in to Todd so that the Wraith would stop looking for Ronon.

I have to say, both episodes were full of Reasons I Love Daniel, but proved exactly why Daniel would have made a much better choice than Sam for leading Atlantis...

Keller had been worse. She's been getting less whiny as the eps go on so she's now at the point where I can tolerate her.

But I like your review -- I'm looking forward to it. Daniel-Rodney Show...and, yes, there is something about Radek that is just irresistible. There's a Big Damn Hero in there somewhere. And I LOVE that John put Teyla in charge -- very much looking forward to seeing the ep eventually.

Actually, I think I'll check the schedule and see if I can catch it in rerun...I'm guessing it'll replay at some point.

I started a Radek fic months ago for a ficathon that I just could not finish in the time alloted but it's still got potential.

As Lost Tribe progresses, keep an eye on Radek's hair. It gets wilder and wilder as the show goes on. :D :D

Definitely keep going with the Radek fic - there needs to be more of that.

I would say yes - though mind you I've been watching SGA all along so I care about all the characters (much love for Radek Zalenka) and I like Rodney. BUT Daniel had a sizeable role in each ep and watching him with Rodney was a hoot.

Plus, the crux of the A plot has to do entirely with the Sekrit Lab that Daniel went there to find. Everything you need to know about what Daniel found and is involved with is right in these two episodes.

The B plot has to do with an experimental procedure to change the wraith, but you don't really need to know anything about that since it's just being used in this instance as a vehicle to get the characters into certain places to set the stage.

Oh, trust me, I love the characters, I'm just torn between love for the characters and old bitterness concerning the writers ;)

OK, so I'm gonna see if I can find ep A before seeing B then, just to get more Daniel + Rodney. And I LOVE Zelenka too, have right from the start. :)

I heart Radek and Lorne big time, too. Especially Radek. He's as smart as Rodney and won't take any guff from him either. Love how Radek's hair gets more out of control as the ep goes on. :)

I can not believe that it's taken this long to see interaction between Daniel and Rodney. After the lost opportunity of the Pegasus Project, I figured they never would. But I'm glad they finally did it. It was everything that I imagined. Absolutely wonderful

When I first heard about MS guest starring in a two parter, I was half afraid that it was a case of stunt-casting. He'd be on the show, but DAniel's entire role would be little more than a glorified cameo.

I was SO very happy with what we got! He was the A-plot AND he was on screen a lot of the time which is amazing because Atlantis has a big cast much of which we got to see.

It's like our very own Daniel In Atlantis made-for-tv movie!

Yeah, I was hoping it would be more than a cameo, too, but wouldn't have been surprised if it was just that.

If we could have not involved the Travellers, there would have been more screen time to use for Rodney and Daniel in the second part.

But can't really complain because we got so much more than I was expecting and it was so good!
