Another couple of years passed and yes, it is sadly to announce that our oldest cat Skrappe has finally passed away, just one month shy of turning 19.
Though with the state he was in these past couple of months, he certainly didn't need to reach that milestone. His body slowly started to shut down and he struggled against it, delaying the ( Read more... )

18 years wow that's a long life.
Glad you were able to take many pictures of him to reminisce on.

Yeah, he's done well lasting for so long. I'm happy we managed to give him another chance in life way back when and this is what came out of it. One of my brothers and I can't help but reflect over the fact that Skrappe's been a part of over a half of our lives so far. It's wild.
Thanks, it's nice to hear from you too! Sorry I haven't been so active on here, I looked through my old LJ-entries and can see I suddenly stopped updating regularly shortly before I moved into my house in the late Summer of 2018. Eh-heh ^^; Life's been so busy.

I'm so sorry to hear about Skrappe. ._. Losing a pet is always super hard. He lived a long time for a kitty, and I'm sure it was partly thanks to you giving him a loving life. I hope you're doing alright. *hugs* <3

Yeah, it's hard although we were pretty prepared for the final day to come, especially taking his age and recent condition into consideration. He's done well. I'll miss him tricking me into giving some of my dinner whenever I stop by for a visit because I don't know better than that he had just been fed prior me visiting. Or when he tried to push me away from my chair because it's HIS chair when I'm not there and actually, that means my dinner is HIS dinner so down the floor I go. Or when I wanted to sit in the couch and he was napping there, I politely sat a bit away so as to not wake him up but he woke up anyway, noticed me, stretched and rolled towards me and demanded I pet him.
So if it's partly thanks to me for giving him a loving life, I just have to say - he demanded that of me XD I had no choice!
