"But... shouldn't I look my best when I'm meeting my new inlaws?" he asked, honestly a bit perplexed. He let his hands fall to his sides as soon as she came to help with his tie. He was hopeless with them, and only managed to survive his occational tie-wearing occations by having several in his closet that he'd bribed Bill to pre-tie for him so he could simply slip them over his head. Even at Hogwart's, he'd generally bribed either one of his siblings to pre-tie them with the promise of taking chore duties from them at home, or been able to charm his way into convincing other students to tie them for him if he had to.

"Well, you know them better than I do..." he said, a bit exasperated. "What should I wear then, Love? Is there anything that'll keep those rather large brothers of yours from beating me to a bloody pulp?" he half chuckled. He wasn't entirely kidding. "And what of your Da? Won't he be angry?" he sighed. He should have thought of all of this before running off and marrying her. Of course, Charlie wasn't ( ... )

Charlie smiled as he shook hands with her Father and was a bit surprised as he was hugged by her Mum. He flushed a bit when she said he was handsome, and stumbled a bit over his words.
"T-thank you, Ma'am. And you're as lovely as your daughter. I can certainly see where she got her lovely looks."

He looked up when he heard the crashing noise. "Con is a boisterous one, isn't he?" he chuckled. "I swear, there's not much in my flat he hasn't knocked over, including me." He stood there quietly, watching the family's interactions and smiling. It wasn't all that different from his own family, just fewer children.

Thomas came around the corner, looking rather sheepish for a fourteen year old, "Sorry, mum." he said, Con was busy investigating the mess he'd made of a vase that had been full of false poisettas.

The house was decorated for Christmas and soon enough the dog got tired of the smelling and went to greet Lora with a nose up the butt. Lora jumped and scowled at the beast. "Kate, get the brute outside, please? Or... shrink him or something before he ruins my house."

Brian saw that as an opprotunity to escape all the family love and whistled for the dog to follow him outside, Con taking off like a shot, oh boy someone wanted to play with him. Thomas wasn't far off after seeing the look from her mother that said he was in trouble for the vase.

Charlie took the opportunity to smile at his new little brother-in-law. "It's nice to meet you too, Thomas. What house are you in at Hogwarts?" he asked with a smile.

He watched the two brothers leave... it actually made him long for his own brothers. Bill hadn't been gone long and he already missed the sod. Not to mention the others that he seldom spoke to. He resolved that if he survived the night, he'd owl each one of them and see about getting together.

"He's in Gryffindor." Lora said with a small smile to him, "Fourth year." she added, watching him.

He was a handsome man. He would make them good looking grandbabies some day. She wasn't in any hurry to be a grandma, but it was nice to see Katie with stars in her eyes and not the kind of stars that came crashing to the earth in tragedy.

Lora led them all into the living room, "So tell us about yourself, Charlie. I know that you're a Gryffindor, but not much other then that."

"Another Gryffindor." he chuckled, looking after Thomas as he left. "Sounds like my family. Not a single one of us has been anything but."

He followed to the living room, sitting down only when he was invited. One thing that Molly Weasley certainly instilled in her children was manners. "Oh, yes, I was a Gryffindor." he nodded. "And the seeker on the team the year Katie started. Let's see... what else?" there was so much to tell about himself, but he didn't want to monopolize the conversation. He was a bit concerned about telling them what he did for a living, but that was so much a part of who he was. He was sure it'd come up at some point.

"I'm close to my family... I have 5 brothers and a poor lone sister." he chuckled. He'd always felt bad for Ginny being the only girl. "One older brother, four younger and then Ginny is the baby. My Dad works at the Ministry and has for years... and my Mum only recently began working at St. Mungo's."
