Wayne's Memorial...

Very hot day here in Portland, again. It was supposed to be cooler than yesterday, but I don't think that turned out to be the case... The church was fairly warm, but it wasn't as bad as when we attended the memorial for Kris' mom (miserable -- and Marilyn had that terrible drug rash at the time). All in all not bad today. But this upper 80 and low ( Read more... )

So glad that you write so well and say all of the things that I am feeling, but I can't seem to express it as well as you do. I hope the things I said today at the memorial were all right. I love Wayne very much and know that all of those other people did also. I hope that when we meet again that Mitch and Wayne will be there waiting for us.

It was great that you had that wonderful picture of him on your I-pad so everyone could see how happy he was at your beach house on the 4th of July last year. I knew that he had become saved and found Jesus and God. They were very important in his life. Marilyn sure called it about the forgiving part and his family is handling that very well. I have an article that came out after the court hearing yesterday. I will share it with you tomorrow.

He sounds like he was a wonderful person in many different ways to many different people.
And that he is still doing that even after passing.
I am sorry to hear it all. A world with more people like him would be a better world.

So true, Frank. What's that saying about the good dying young? (And what does that make me? Hahahahaha. Oh well!)

Thanks for your kind words.

It sounds like a lovely memorial. I'm glad you have a little memento of Wayne now....he sounds like he was a very special person.

A few people here have become dear personal friends but even those I have never seen in person are dear to me. I know what you mean.
:)

Thanks for the kind words.

You can't lose someone unless you were lucky enough to have them in your life in the first place. (It's worth losing someone to have been able to be close to them.) And there are always more people you can become close to in the future. They don't replace the people we lose, but I think those who pass on would want us to find new people in our lives -- and there are so many people out there we can be close to, if we try. That's so beautiful.
