I've never read anything like this before, it is utterly innovative and I really liked it. Especially how they find consolation in each other's company, while being completely aware that their lost loved ones cannot be replaced.

Thank you. I was worried that people would shy away from this one since it's a bit different, but the ficathon theme was non-couple interaction. Actually if you want to read some good non-couple stuff, check out Wyse's site. She's posted the link up on the shitennou forums website under the ficathon 2008 thread. It's got zip files of the ficathons over the past few years.
