I want more pining in my stories. I want more internal struggles! I want less porn! Porn is very boring to me. (While, as I've mentioned elsewhere, pining porn, is music to my ears.)

I can read a rather badly written WIP - this happened particularly during the Nslash days - as long as it was ripe with pining (until that got old too). So when it's done just right, it's the most glorious thing! I can skip every sex scene, in favour of more angsty pining. :D

I agree with you about fanfic. I get bored with the graphic porn and want more STORY! One of my favorite fanfic writers is crysothemis, who really, really knows how to write a story. She's in the DueSouth and Stargate Atlantis fandoms, and the stuff is gorgeous.

I also agree with you about the body. I don't think everyone needs to be thin, but damn, we need to be healthy!

Oh I know about crysothemis, and I agree, she's great. :D
And yes, graphic sex scenes are awfully dull, if they do nothing for the progress of the story. When they do that, it's awesome, but otherwise, I'm happier to skip the porn altogether.

Yes, I'm all for pining in fics! Especially if it's the hottest guy in school pining for the nerd, like John pining for Rodney and all that! *g*

Aww! Yes, exactly. I'm a sucker for when they have to fight themselves for what they're feeling. I don't mind Rodney pining for John too, where Rodney is just completely convinced there's no use even TRYING to flirt with him.
