I don’t know if it’s a recent trend, or just something I’ve only just noticed. But as of late, there have been a lot of people referring to members of the Order of the Pearl* as bivalves. A while back I posted about how people could make funny garb that was also clever, more clever than a Hawaiian-print cote. Garb that would still pass as good SCA clothes, that you could wear to any event without wearing "joke garb".
