[SCA] IK Anthro Question (possibly drama-esque)
Kind of a general question based on a specific discussion. Sorry for those who want to avoid the drama. I don’t intend to get into a debate over the merits of Calontir and rapier, but I won’t shut down discussion that might happen as a result of my post.
Since I started playing in 2000, I’ve lived in Northshield/Midrealm, East, and Atlantia. I’ve lived in Nordskogen, Hartshorn-dale, Caer Adament, Ponte Alto, and Dun Carraig (I think that covers it all). I can’t, in any of my experience, remember any group not allowing any kind of activity that:
1. Was allowed under corpora (pre-1600, yadda yadda)
2. The participants were willing to do all of the organization and not demand resources from the group at large.
3. Didn’t inherently involve other people (ie. assassins' games, etc.)
I realize that many geographic groups have a focus or tendency to prefer one culture over another. But can anybody point me towards an activity that is strictly forbidden, within a geographic-based group? (Households don’t count.)
