Whoa. That is seriously creepy. The fairy tale vibe against the gritty reality of a woman twisted by an all-too-common upbringing is just great.

I'm really glad you read and enjoyed it.

The fairy tale vibe against the gritty reality of a woman twisted by an all-too-common upbringing is just great.

I love writing fairy tales, though they always come out a bit creepy. Probably because even as a kid I was terrified of fairy tales. I did think that that format suited the story though.

Looking forward to the next challenge.

Fairy tales are creepy when you really stop and look at them. No wonder kids are so messed up.

Ouch. Your take puts together just about every possible negative feminine stereotype, in one single story...

Gimme more! *wink*

My only concrit is your last line; A happy moment, for however long it would last, because someone like her could not live happily ever after.

I think someone like her could live happily for a very long time -- it's just the people around her who could not...

I'm really glad you liked it. I may have gone to a slight extreme with the stereotype...

I agree with your point, now that I think about it she would be happy with herself and happiness would definatly be possible for her, not so much for those around her.

Thank you for reading and reviewing.

Oh, yes-- you went to extreme extremes with the stereotype!

And I don't like it, exactly, because I fight against sex, gender, and race stereotypes every day of my life. So, my liking it is of that squicky-in-the-stomach variety-- but I do like your writing, and you definitely filled the requirements of the challenge.

You has conflicted me!
