Chaos!

Sep 26, 2011 22:23

At 2:30ish I stopped cleaning the attic and left to go to do my shift taking care of the shelter cats before I pick up Scout.  Except my car wouldn't start.  ARGH!  I called Stuart to see if he could get her, but, unbeknownst to me, he was at the Law Library and had his ringer turned off.  So I called Scout to see if she could grab a ride home with ( Read more... )

There is nothing quite so terrifying as car issues combined with people not answering their cell phones.

Hopefully it is something minor! *fingers crossed*

Get some sleep and have a better day tomorrow! XD

Yeah, fortunately I was down the block from my house. If this had happened on Saturday night when I needed to load up after that festival, the situation would have been infinitely shittier.

Jump didn't work, so I had it towed. Hopefully it's just the starter and won't be too expensive!

Ouch. Isn't that awful when it happens? You feel so alone, although you know that everyone is surely fine and can certainly take care of themselves. Glad it worked out in the end, although the car troubles suck. I hope it's just the battery!

Usually I'm the one who is orchestrating everything, so lack of communication was a bite in the ass.

I just had it towed--jump didn't work :( This is the first problem I've had with this car after owning it for six years, so I'm not too upset.

Good luck with the car! I have my fingers crossed that it's only the battery...

(And what's the use of having cell phones if nobody ever answers them? LOL.)

Jump didn't work, but the tow guy came right away, so now I just have to wait for the automotive place to call tomorrow. Could be worse ;)

I know right?

Oh man. That had to be stressful. Car problems suck hard. My front end is sounding the way the back end did before I had to have it towed and have the rear end replaced. Glad everything got sorted and Scout was picked up. Hope she gets better soon and hope the issue with the car isn't a bad one.

I was at the apartment when that rain hit and at about 1:00 a.m. my patio door decided to rain on the inside of the apartment. I figure the management had to know about the problem because there was a crappy plaster job along the top of the frame and there is a bulge in the ceiling. They caulked, but it won't help because that wasn't where the water had come in at. Sigh, going to have to go to the office.

Car battery, no big deal.

Crazy how hard the rain came down Sunday night! I hope they are able to fix the caulk on the apartment so that doesn't happen again :)

So glad it was just the battery! Taking my car to a different shop in the morning. Other shop said it was fine. Uh, no. Cars aren't supposed to creak, grind, and clunk.

Eh, they caulked, but it won't fix it. They are replacing balconies because of the problem. The one above me just hasn't been replaced yet.
