Sucks about the leak, but it's good that the party went well despite the crisis.

what do you get for a 17 year old boy who isn't into sports or music? Porn is the only thing I can come up with

Video games? That's usually the only other thing that teenagers are really into these days aside from sports and music - dorkery. ;P

My husband's sister finally sent us a more comprehensive list of anime series and video games that the kids are into. Code Geass it is! Thank god. We did iTunes gift cards last year and I felt like a cheater because it was so easy.

Video games I can do :) Sister-in-law finally got us a list of ones they are interested in/don't have.

Well at least you knew the source of the leak, which is more than I could say for myself, LOL. I'm glad the party was a success! =) And that you have your life back.

I've yet to wrap a present or finish my fannish Christmas stuff. Cookies have eaten up all my free time for the last two weeks!

The tub has leaked before, same spot, so I knew what the problem was. I'm tempted to try to fix it myself, but it would probably take me a whole afternoon and I have other things I rather do.

I got a little wrapping done. Not too hard since I haven't done much shopping yet ;P Good luck getting your wrapping and writing done!

Sucks about the leak, but at least you were able to get it under control without it doing damage to your party plans.

I find males of any age over 13 are difficult to shop for, although my mother is my hardest. I just give Spouse and Brother money. They like expensive toys, so I just contribute to their "fun funds." Son and Nephews want nothing but Legos, but I dread the day when that interest runs out. Glad you were finally able to get a list, although if you'd snuck them porn, you'd probably be their favorite aunt for the rest of their lives ;P.

I long for the days when the nephews were easy--Legos were the default gift for years, then Star Wars collectibles. Now it isn't so easy...

I was reminded that porn is so accessible nowadays via internet, that it wouldn't even be that big a deal. I kinda feel bad for kids these days--I remember being fourteen and a friend stole her dad's Penthouse and we giggled over the Forum letters. I can only imagine what seeing tub girl or goatse at that age would have done to my world view.

Very happy to hear the party went well, but YARG! about the leak, what a pain! Oh the joys of being a homeowner?

Hmm...a boy who doesn't like sport or music...camping stuff? Sounds like he may enjoy his solitude? Does he like art? Sketchpad or art supplies?

Enjoy writing!

Homeownership certainly has its moments ;P I should try to fix it myself (I have a suspicion it isn't that big a deal and I've fixed many toilets on my own) but I'd rather make a phone call to a plumber and use the time for writing.

I think anime and video games are the solution!
