Food Is Good

My housemates are the best people on earth.

A few days ago they acquired a sandwich toaster. Egads, thinks I, another kitchen appliance to terrorize me! Yes, indeed, my talents in the kitchen are well-known to all (and, in case you for some reason don't know, click here to learn.) But this device is different. sometimes I think that we need to have a live video feed from our house...we have some very intersting events.

I love Mr Sandwich Heating thingy...there's something about it that jsut makes the sandwich...more tastey. It's hard to describe. Maybe some of the teflon melts on the sandwich or something giving it hat flavor. But it is jsut so good!

I'm a total sucker for one-function kitchen appliances like rice cookers and popcorn makers. I'm shocked that I don't have one of these yet!

You must get one. It's rare for me to recommend any kind of household culinary tool, so you know this thing is the shiznit!

This is the device I praised last fall, over here they're called toastie makers! I love that thing! If you want to make a thing-like-a-Danish, try this:
  • liberally coat two pieces of bread with butter
  • liberally coat the other sides of the pieces of bread with fruit jam (best choice: sweetened cranberry preserves)
  • slice up a bit of brie & place between the slices of bread (so the jam & the brie are on the inside of the sandwich)
  • with the buttered sides facing out, cook the sandwich in the toastie maker

Mmmm ... so tasty!

No wonder we run out so quickly... ;)

And trust me, if Nutella was flammable, I would have found out years ago. Heh.
