I just want the cheese wheel. Personally, I'd love to ride a bobsled down the track. Or a luge, if I'm feeling extra-risky. That would rule.

Curling might be the second mystery.

This is why you watch ESPN's SportsCenter. No human interest stories, except for Picabo Street talking about how much of a fuck-up Bode is. Plus we see the wonderful expressions on the faces of competitors as they realize they just blew it...in front of a world audience. All in the span of the time NBC spends talking about the poor soccer player from Uzbekistan, who only had decapitated heads' of rebels to practice his skills on.

ESPN wasn't showing anything at the time. Believe me, I went to look. 900 channels on cable TV and only one shows the Olympics at 8 pm? THIS IS BULLSHIT!

I am, for some reason, fascinated with Curling. It's boring and silly, but I'm engrossed by the technique of it. Aiming the stone (that's what that thing with the handle is called), getting the right momentum going, sweep the ice or squeege it. So yes, I had USA network on today for 3 hours of curling (cuz it's live at 11am, so no editing).

Curses. I need to hit up some of the live broadcasts. Too bad they're in the middle of the workdays. Cheeky NBC and its selective programming.

Also: if you want a Canadian to fisticuffs with you and wrassle and maybe see where that goes, you tell them that curling is not a sport, it is housework on ice.

The best curling movie I ever saw was Men With Brooms: a Sweeping Epic. There were some very gratuitous beaver shots. So to speak. Ha.

This pointless comment brought to you by Guinness.

I shall remember that if I ever need to pick a fight with a Canadian. I hear that calling New Zealanders "Aussies" can have a similar effect. Do you dare fisticuffwrassle me? ;-)

Besides, I can't even call curling "housework on ice". I just don't know what to call it. IT'S A BIG STONE CHEESE WHEEL!

Mmmm... Guinness. Carry on.

FISTICUFFWRASSLEPOUNCE.

Actually, I'm not too fussed about being called an Australian, I just chalk it up to Them Crazy Furriners not knowing any better. It's being called an Aucklander that will rile most of us Mainlanders. JAFA...

Mmmmcheese. I wonder if I can mark down any cheese at work today. Cheap cheese tastes better.
