Personal Project Time!

Yes, it's one of those rare moments where I use LJ for something that's (for the most part) not funny, goofy, stupid, or otherwise non-serious. You are fairly warned.

This project is dedicated to ladybugbutt, who set me up for the concept, and barbarienne, who set me up for the set-up for the concept, and David Lo Pan, because he rules. )

Write about a clever way in which assassins are given the info for their next assignment.

Characters or bananas - the decision is yours! deinemuse September 28 2005, 16:07:14 UTC
I always thought you wrote extremely well, you can write on pretty much anything, but that you focused less on characterization and feeling from what I've read at least. So, instead of challenging you with a topic, I challenge you with focusing more on the character rather than the story, plus I'm sure 20 other people will come up with that other part. So, take it or leave it ( ... )

Yes, it was serious. Thank you for posting. chaosvizier September 28 2005, 16:11:28 UTC
Character first. I'll do the banana thing after.

Mmm... bananas! But characters can be yummy too!

I'm pretty sure I've never had a character who was banana-flavored.

How about the internal monologue of someone? (Bonus points for good use of stream of consiousness style)

Suggestions:
*a retired NASA mission commander
*a NYC sanitation worker
*the alien commander of the first radio contact with humans

You don't have to take any of those, if they don't spark your imagination.

At any rate, this is a cool project and good luck. I look forward to seeing them.

Start a story with "Kato died first."

Use this line midway through the story. "The houses on either side were of stone and half timber."

Ending with this line. "Good. There was time enough to think about it."

I think you should write a love story ... between a farmer and a girl who he thinks is an alien. But at the end it turns out she isn't really an alien, just a regular girl. Also, there should be cows involved, but not in a sexual way, because ew.
