[chaos, at least, is not surprised by this turn of events.  Mayfield has long implied that it was somehow decimated, or affected, by a nuclear weapon, and this only makes one wonder if it is indeed true considering the Mayor's words.  He is also not surprised, even if he is a bit agitated, that his powers have yet again been stripped from him,

[As he's only spoken with Alex and not met him, no recognition has kicked in yet, however chaos does move over nearer to the boy, careful not to startle him.]

Are you looking for something?

[At the sound of a voice - and one he recognizes at that - Alex looks up, thinking for a moment]

Chaos? Is that you?

[chaos tilts his head a moment, thinking, before he can't help but smile]

Alex? It's good to see you're alright. I was heading towards Nall's to check on him.

THE WAR AT HOME

[chaos will move over quickly, moving aside whatever rubble is covering Ashton, and scanning him quickly for injury; he is crying after all.]

I doubt it. Are you injured?

Good. [He looks perhaps a bit relieved] Did you wake in the rubble?

[ Rika is also rummaging... but she's looking for a weapon. When she spots him she waves, trying to get his attention. ]

[chaos glances over when he name is called, and can't help but smile, moving over towards the girl.]

[Although Crowe rarely stayed in his own house anymore, he had gone there to check on Ash. He had not known he had been droned the night before, and now, Crowe finds nothing but the bodies of his drone family. He sits there now on a pile of rocks, trying to figure out where to go next, looking lost.]

[Well, considering Crowe's comment the night or so before, chaos wasn't sure he'd find him at the only place he knew to look. Fortunately, or perhaps not, Crowe was home for the moment, so when chaos sees him, he calls out.]

Chaos... [He doesn't stand up, just sits there.] I'm glad to see you. Are you alright?

[Even if Crowe doesn't move, chaos is moving towards him. Although the boy doesn't seem hurt, he'll want to make sure anyway.]
