So apparently one of my journals is going to send V-Gifts to theferrett approximately every fucking twelve hours until Livejournal actually gets back into the fucking office and fixes this. I am not happy.So. Valentine's Day

apiphile's posted some of their stuff - I have three tracks off The Sunset Tree, one off Dilaudid, and one off Tallahassee. None of the other songs have really hit me, but then sometimes it takes the whole album, so go for it!
I'm trying to dig it up at the moment. Some of their stuff is amazing, some of it's just average. I adore that one though - it's up there with Dilaudid.
And, btw, K'naan is coming to town and I think you should hear him because I haven't pushed him at you yet, I don't think, and given your love for protest music, I think you'd appreciate him.
Either you've put that one up previously or someone put it on a Big Bang mix; I've got it, it's pretty good. z I'll check the concert listing, though, I might want to go to that.
I do have Story of Isaac - I think you also sent me The Queen And The Soldier? The others I'm listening to. I really like the "I Put A Spell On You" - it's sort of Goth-Punk and sort of World. Cool!
Unfortunately, people are legitimately sending at least one of them - I actually found out who sent the first one. I'll look at the link though, because if there's a way to turn off sending them, that would rock. This is the second time this has happened to me; it's pissing me off.
I was most annoyed the one time I saw Bright Eyes that he didn't play that song. But then, usually by the time I get to a concert, at least in the past, the albums/songs I know are very old and no one plays them except Radiohead, and that was a HUGE surprise. But yes, LIDHTL is one of my favourite songs ever.
But! I have paid good money. Money I could have used for smack, or porn, or for buying an island, or lots of other things. Are you suggesting that the fact that I have given money does not make an artist my slave? Clearly you are a communist. *g*
God, if only that was true, I'd need a bigger place, since I would have like ten musicians living here.
