the tube dress is seriously the one thing i would want to own. the waist is exactly like what i see on princesses in those books i read when i was small. well done.

i'm surprised you like it, cheng! thanks :) i thought girly dresses weren't your style. i do remember princesses in storybooks wearing gowns with this waist. i myself always wanted to make a tube dress with a fold-over inverted 'V' neckline and a waist exactly like that. i finally did it but a big mistake was made in the choice of material. it's not stiff enough so i can't achieve the pouffy stand-up flare skirt look.

i can't go girly very well but i can't escape from liking some girlie stuff. the fabric looks stiff enuf, actually. well, you sure can replicate this in a stiffer material to see how it turns out :)

well maybe not girly but you do pull off the ladylike look nicely! i would love to redo the dress in another fabric if i had the time. but it's not easy to find the right cloth at a reasonable price here too. right now i have a stash of other fabrics accumulated over the years for other projects.. probably working clothes so they won't be interesting, bummer.

I'm very into pearls at the moment haha. And I love the bag! Have you started work?

I vaguely remember you wearing white nail polish to match your pearls. Was it pearls you were wearing, or a white flower hair accessory? Dear me I can't remember, and it was only so long ago. The bag is Jill's good taste! ;)

Nope, but soon!
