2 October 2008- as a skirt and dress girl through and through, it has been many years since i last wore pants not because i was compelled to out of sheer necessity (think holidays in cold countries and backstage duties during drama productions), but as a fashion statement.

the problem with the bow is that the bottom parts are dark brown, so they don't stand out against my hair and other people can only see the top part of the bow from afar.

you're awfully lucky to 1. have a mum who can make clothes for you 2. be able to make your own clothes :DD
the front of your blouse is lovely, but i prefer the kate spade one where the pleated collar climbs down the back entirely - yours ends a little too abruptly i think, but it's certainly more practical and maintains its shape better. i like the pants though! but i agree that they're tricky to wear.

i agree with your comment about the blouse. my mum said the collar was very hard to make and her estimations for the back turned out insufficient in depth, width and length. we didn't have a photograph of the top from the back too, just the side, so it was mainly speculation about how the rest looked like.
i don't think i'm making anything this holidays :D a little lazy. i'm in hong kong now.

2 Hello, your thighs are so not thick (i think the bell bottom pants are lovely)
3 WHAT FLAWS?!
4 Gawd i love the top :)

2 my thighs are bearable only and only if i wear heels ;)
(psst i don't think bell bottoms is the right word for these pants. bell bottom pants refer to those elvis presleys that flare out at the bottom, like a bell.)
3 flaws = proportionately longer upper body. it is very hard to find pencil skirts and jeans or trousers that fit me because of that.
4 thank you! love it too :)
