.. but not far from it either
28 august 2008- whoever said there has never been a winter in all year round sunny singapore must have never dwelt in an air-conditioned room. the university's seminar rooms harbour temperatures so ridiculously cold it feels as though summer immediately freezes into winter upon entrance. this girl, whose person is so akin to a camel ill adapted to snow, has grown tired of lugging around jackets and cardigans on her back, and has resolved to make turtlenecks her next best friends.

a closeup of the ruffles around the neck and random gatherings at the waist.
ever since i saw
Jacky Cheung - who would have thought he of all people would make such a fashion impact on me? - make an appearance on TV many years ago in a brown shirt and gold tie, i have always regarded this colour symbolic of wealth and success as the perfect complement to earthly brown. not surprisingly of course, layer on the gold today i definitely did. clockwise from left to right: tan leather messenger bag from italy with golden buckles, brown flats with golden zippers, rusty gold lion knocker ring from jeanine gabrielle's asian influence collection, and golden pendant with white lace from belgium, a gift from dad.
a simple pendant over a turtleneck always looks impeccably chic, at least to me.
