9 July 2008- On a typical day, N is whisked out of the big white wardrobe to see a few minutes of the outside world. The sudden gush of daylight is glaring, but it doesn't last for long.. before one could finish saying 'Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers', N finds herself back in the gloomy, engulfing darkness of her home. She spends so much of her life in total pitch blackness that her eyes, like an owl's, is accustomed to the darkness. In the long hours, sometimes even days, between her mini escapades, she looks up and observes the clothes her mistress owns. Mentally she counts in her head, the number of dresses, the number of skirts, the number of high waisted skirts. Now her mistress definitely loved high waisted skirts, there was no two ways about it. And if those high waists had unique details such as a paperbag waist, why then even better.

As I found out, touches of black are a great complement to hot pink and grey.
I love the peekaboo effect of cutouts. With the colour of the underlying blouse shyly peeking through, an upsized brooch (worn as a necklace pendant here) appears smaller and less bulky.
21 July 2008- Nature is where it matches. Like the colours of Fall, I have thrown equal amounts of red, yellow and brown into today's ensemble.

Tiny miniatures, exact to the last detail, never fail to draw excited expressions of wonder from me. This little camera cannot take pictures like the real thing, but its lenses reflect images just like real cameras should.
