one day while thinking idly on the subject of marriage proposals, it suddenly dawned on me that an engagement ring is as good as a bribe to the bride-to-be. it's hard to think of a more satisfactory reason for the very stunned, enthusiastic look on Gabrielle's face when Carlos Solis proposes to her with a huge diamond ring (Desperate Housewives).

LOVE the Dior oui and the forget-me-knot! But Georg Jensen Mobius Ring beats them all hands down with the meaning. Mobius strip = infinity; and mobius strip as a ring is all the more meaningful, esp done in a very classy manner :)

for a wedding ring, i would say a price that is reasonable enough for its plainness (since you will be wearing it everyday) and quality (so it can last the daily wear).. which is not saying anything, haha :)

and yes, but drawing the line between the two.. that's difficult.
