And suddenly, he spotted her. Suddenly, she was right there, right in front of him, and suddenly he smiled and wrapped her up in his arms. Friends and lovers and families met all around them and everyone hugged, everyone talked about how the flights had been, everyone moved and talked, but they stood completely still. He felt her press her lips against his neck, her nose tiny and cold, and his hand escaped into her hair. It'd been three weeks. Three whole weeks with her being busy in Pawnee and him being far away in Washington. But she got a break. And she was right there, right against him, her lips cold and a little dry against his neck, and his eyes closed. Finally. "I have missed you so much," she said, breathed, and he knew that her eyes were filled with tears. "Marry me," he said, because he wanted to, because he had to say it, because why the hell not? And then he looked at her and her eyes glittered and her hair was blond and soft and curled in a way that reminded him of soft serve ice cream. And she nodded, tears rushing down her cheeks, and he kissed her. Softly. Passionately. Finally.
